Stress Symptoms - Five More Physical Warning Signs That Tell You to Give Yourself a Break

You would think that the symptoms of stress is hard to miss. But we are often in denial. Chances are you know if you are badly in need of help, but I do not know how to go about getting it. So here is some ammunition to justify taking a break. And nothing so compelling as a physical warning. Here are five that I tell you to take it easy already.

1 Are you overweight? Are you embarrassed too much belly fat?

For the longest time, people used to think that stress causes weight loss, not weight gain. This may be true for some, but most of us tend to put on pounds. And not just anywhere. Cortisol, a stress hormone, literally causes the body to accumulate the wobbly stuff all the way to the front and center and makes it nearly impossible to get it back off.

2 Do you have trouble sleeping or sleeping long enough?

Once again, sleep problems can be a sign of too much stress. And because sleep is so crucial to recovery, stress-induced insomnia often begins a vicious circle.

3 Do you have heartburn, hyperacidity, GERD, or indigestion?

If you're plagued by heartburn, GERD, or indigestion, maybe what you need is another dose of antacids, but the massage and a nice warm bath, not necessarily in that order. And Dan.

4 Do you get sick a lot?

When someone sneezes in the office, did you first catch it? Do you have allergies or skin rashes? These are all signs that your immune system began to suffer. It is time to take legal U-turn.

5 Is your blood pressure too high?

elevated blood pressure is a natural extension of the term (even short-term) stress. Unfortunately, this is one symptom that May not be able to discover on your own if you're in the habit of checking your blood pressure.

Now you think I'm a little nuts, but guess what? If you are under great stress, whether your heart and your blood vessels favor and get yourself a personal blood pressure measuring gadget. I mean, especially if you already know your blood pressure is too high. Or, if you have a family history of hypertension. You can find a meter blood pressure at any pharmacy or drugstore. They are way cheaper and less hard on your system from blood pressure medication.

If you have even one of them, give yourself a break. You are the man. Your body is the only one you'll ever have in this life. Treat it accordingly and make it last. As a bonus, you'll enjoy your life a lot more as well.
