Physical Symptoms of Stress and Anxiety

People often experience a general state of worry, because anxiety is a natural reaction to the problem of life. It helps a person with challenging situations in the office, carefully studying the test, and keep focused on important decisions. However, when anxiety interferes with daily activities and relationships and business people, it is considered a disabling disorder.

anxiety disorder can be classified into five major specific types.
1st Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) is excessive, unrealistic worry and tension about the non-specific life events, goals, and situations.
2nd Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is a condition characterized by persistent, unwanted thoughts and repetitive behaviors.
3rd Panic attacks are characterized by repeated and unexpected attacks of intense fear.
4th Social anxiety disorder is the fear of social situations. People with social phobia have a fear of looking and judging others.
5th Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is an anxiety disorder that can occur after exposure to a traumatic event that involved a threat of injury or death.

Symptoms
Symptoms depend on the type of anxiety disorder, but general symptoms include:

heart palpitations, muscle tension, trouble falling or staying asleep, which can be easily startled, irritability, trembling, churning stomach, nausea, diarrhea, headache, backache, restlessness, difficulty concentrating, cold or sweaty hands and / or feet, shortness of breath, fatigue.

Treatment
Anxiety can be treated with medication, psychotherapy or both.

Medication will not cure anxiety disorders, but it can keep them under control, while the person receives psychotherapy. Several different types of drugs such as anti-depressants, anti-anxiety, and beta-blockers used to treat anxiety.

Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure therapy are two effective treatments anxiety disorder. Cognitive-behavioral therapy helps people change thinking patterns that are causing their anxiety.

Self help
In some cases the anxiety of short duration and the cause is identified and can be removed or avoided. There are several exercises and activities that are recommended to deal with this kind of anxiety:

make sleep a priority. Do what you can to make sure that you are getting enough quality sleep.
