"really able man gets nowhere. Constantly busy man does not get much further." ~ Sir Heneage Ogilvie
Occasionally, while on the job May we experience a loss of motivation, but if it becomes more than occasional, we could be at risk for "burnout". Burnout refers to the depletion of our energy and resources of resistance, so you still do the same task becomes very difficult. It's as if you have your job one day too long and can not return to it.
The main problem with the ignition on the job is that it can spill over into other areas of your life and show up as depression.
Signs of burnout with lack of energy, the increasing levels of irritation and frustration, poor attention, concentration and memory, loss of humor, cynical attitude and appearance. We also work, but it seems to be doing less, start to feel isolated from others, and lose the joy of work and everyday home and family life.
Burnout is most often caused by:
- - After too many tasks, many of them self-selected. - Striving to meet the perfectionistic and, therefore, unrealistic goals. - Working to achieve unreasonable deadlines. - Refusing to slow down, rest, or ask for help. - After a lack diversity in their daily duties. - Bottling your emotions until you "stress".
To avoid burnout you have to be able to recognize early signs of it and be ready to take swift action. Often you have to re-examine their priorities and it becomes easier when you remember that a few people at the end of life say, "I really wish that I spent more time at work ."
To control the combustion in your life, assess your goals to ensure that you are headed where you want to go. Then think about:
- - Reorganization of work in an effective, priority tasks. - Building a relaxing break in, so you can intentionally slow down and rejuvenate yourself. - Add variety to the daily schedule, and even small changes in routine will help. - Learning to say "No" when the demands become too much. - Asking for help when you need it. - In conversation with others and sharing your emotions before they become a problem. - Since the building enough endurance exercise
Most importantly, every day do something you enjoy. Do this away from work, and whether you "feel" like it or not. If you need to make yourself go to a movie, visit friends, or a slow walk around the block. Do not use that excuse too tired. Remind yourself to do something you enjoy is the best way to recover your energy.
every day to make sure that you can relax from work by doing something fun, and you'll win the combustion. After all, why work so hard so that you can enjoy life. Do not forget to do so.
